Willow is Taught A Life Lesson When Her Mother, Jada Pinkett Smith Takes On Cause of Sexual Assault After Family Incident

Jada Pinkett Smith speaks up for rape victims after it nearly affected a family member and taught Willow Smith, her daughter, a life lesson to empower and educate her on what can happen when you let your guard down. Jada Pinkett Smith supports all young ladies who have been a victim of rape because it can happen to anyone and if it can happen it needs to be stopped. The 20 year-old niece of Jada was given a date rape drug and this could have possibly been her 13-year-old daughter Jada. She feels there is an epidemic going on and it’s a rash that needs to be taken care of. Earlier this month the topic of sexual assault was addressed by Jada Pinkett Smith after hashtag #JusticeforJada started trending shadowing an incident in which a young lady by the name of Jada (age 16) was drugged and raped. Within the same month someone close to Jada was endanger of becoming a victim. There is indeed a way to empower her young one without Jada doing it from a mother perspective, but by Willow hearing it from someone else she looks up to, her cousin who is 20 and can show Willow that this is really real. Pinkett Smith expressed confidence in her daughter empowering her to be that individual with the confidence with who they are. 

Beyoncé Teams up with charities to feed families in Houston

Isn’t Bey from Houston, Texas? In an effort feed thousands of families, Essence magazine has reported that Beyoncé has teamed up with The Bread of Life, Miss-A-Meal, the Houston Food Bank, The Box and a local Houston radio station to bring food to impoverished families in the city in order to put an end to hunger for over 870,000 families. Beyoncé is indeed putting the effort in trying to help her hometown and this sends out a good message to the rest of the world. She and JayZ’s “On The Run” tour July 18^th at Minute Maid Park gives fans a chance to participate by in the drive by donating at least five non-perishable food items to win pit tickets. Pit tickets are a “big deal!” Her dear hometown may not have to ever suffer again because this may change it for the best. It serves as an example for others and a way to change life for some in the Houston, Texas area.

DBI Supports Girls Inc.

Davis Broadcasting Inc. supports Girls Inc.   June 27, 2014. All friends and families of the station came out to help support their open house from 11 to 5pm to save the Garrard Center. The center has to raise $100,000 by the end of July in order to stay open. Over forty years the Garrard Center on Clover Lane has provided a safe haven and life skills for thousands of young ladies. Because of the deficiency and poor shape of the building, the center may have to close.

The parents of Girls Inc. became upset and disappointed so they started protesting the closing. $125,000 to $150,000 each year will help them to maintain the building.  Even so, if the money is not there, than neither is the building. It is good, however, that parents are willing to try to save the property and it is good that Davis Broadcasting went out to support the event.  

There is unbelief in the air about the shutting down of the building. Reason is, is that it serves purpose giving girls chances to walk away from the streets and into a positive community. Shutting down something so meaningful to everyone makes no sense. The staff and the children have become a family. There should be another way to deal with an issue like this instead of having afterschool childcare taken away from these children.

There are, however, many other leaders fighting to save Girls Inc. Saturday morning, Mayor Teresa Tomlinson, Sheriff John Darr, Marshal Greg Countryman, Councilor Bruce Huff, Representative Calvin Smyre, Representative Carolyn Hugley, State Senator Ed Harbison and Municipal Court Clerk Vivian Creighton Bishop, marched for this cause. This says a lot when the city and state officials come to support the cause. If able and willing, please help them because they need you. Help to save the Garrard Center. Davis Broadcasting appreciates Sol of Wa for bringing in the food

Restaurant Sol of Wa serves no pork to Davis Broadcasting cast on June 12, 2014 and has a “no pork” way of thinking. The cast was very excited to start munching down on the luncheon prepared by the owner of Sol of Wa at the meeting. In due to the preparation, Sol of Wa asks the station if Davis Broadcasting will say a couple of good words to inform the city of Columbus of its new company. Now appreciated by Davis Broadcasting, the company has agreed to air paid broadcasting of Sol of Wa. The dinner served was tuna, chicken salad, and salami and turkey sandwiches with cheese, chips, cookies, tea, lemonade, and water. The table was sat up very nice for the cast and gave the meeting a nice setting. Deacon Michael Sapp also said blessings and everyone “dug in” to grub.    

Touching Birthday for New Artist Street Lotto

Birthday Party for Keith Smith a.k.a Street Lotto becomes very touching when the cake comes in to play and family and friends sing “Happy Birthday” to the soon to be hip hop star. A few lovely words were said about Street from his wife, Denise Smith and Street also had a lot of nice things to say about his family and friends. The get together turnout was extreme and everyone seems to be having a great time. Children were playing basketball, women were having women talk and the men were out on the patio enjoying the music vibe and freestyle. The evening was moving along and so were the drinks. In every word that counts, this was an event of love and celebration of a new year of life for Street Lotto.  Be on the lookout for Street Lotto’s album it was released Friday June 13, 2014 at Taboo2. The album is called Levi’s & Chucks hit single “Go”.

Ibiza Charity Adventure to Save Cancer Patients and Disabled Children

They have come up with an adventurous way to generate for this cause. This creative unique idea with activities like hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, camping and other outdoor activities should endorse a lot of help for the disabled children and cancer patients. Each supporter is expected to raise a minimum $1250.

On Ibiza Charities Facebook page 1.5 million has been invited and so far, as of today, 46 people are going to this event.

On their website you will see the beautiful outdoor scenery that supporters will be able to experience on their journey as Eleanor Roosevelt says “to live life and reach out eagerly without fear.” It states, “walking is the most ancient exercise but still the most modern way that people get a good work out, the longest journey begins with a step, and with every walk with nature, one gets more then he seeks.”

Ibiza charity Adventure is a wonderful way to see new things and encounter the most beautiful sights of nature. The charity APNEEF works with children who have special educational needs with an objective improve the development and growth and also to improve their quality of life and social integration. The other charity organization is Samasound Association, which offers sound healing to patients who are fighting cancer and other illnesses in order to strengthen their immune system and allay stress. These two charities will benefit from Ibiza Charity.

A walk can relieve so much pain for someone else and give an opportunity to make health changes, relate to nature, and strengthen limbs. These people are making an effort to save someone else’s life and you will never know how much a life means to someone else and what impact you can bring to others.
