TED Ideas Worth Spreading Randy Pausch: Really achieving your childhood dreams

“Anything is possible and that’s something that we should not lose sight of.” Listening to Randy’s speech is entirely inspiring because he is a dreamer. He had several dreams and some he’d accomplished and some he did not accomplish but learned incredibly from it. For instance, he speaks about his childhood dream to become a football player in the NFL. He talks about critiques and how much more importance it is to have them. He indicates as a definition of experience, that experience is what you get when you did not get what you wanted. His speech was convincing on how it is imperative to follow your childhood dreams out. You, for one, learn more, experience more, gain leadership opportunity and formulate success.
He talks about Imagineering with Jon Snoddy and how he channeled him with several, several questions. Jon Snoddy gave him really good advice about giving someone time to impress you and to not get angry fast. That really inspires me as well. I live by words like that. I have experienced that. Sometimes you need to give chances. He speaks about how to put artist and engineers together and how met the real world with real people.
He speaks about how to enable childhood dreams. He says, “You have to believe to achieve your childhood dreams.” He speaks about how he was a professor and how he had put many people together in the one stadium he was speaking in. His enthusiasms to express these happenings were amazing. The images and videos that he had expressed were amazing and with lots of character!

Personally I believe in the challenges and inspirations gained from your childhood. I believe that you should dream. I believe that you should achieve your childhood dreams at least by trying. It is good to learn from them. It is not good to say that you have never done it, but never try. I believe his speech was very inspiring.

What is a positive role model and who fits this description as a leader in the entertainment industry?

Think about how people are attracted to you? Are they attracted to you positively or negatively? When you do something what impact is great and what impact is not so great? Who fits the description as a positive role model or leader in the entertainment industry? How do you know and what are some ways that you can find out? According to some, no one fits that description. Others believe that there are role models out there, especially in entertainment but why are they a role model? Curiously, I asked this question to many and these are some of the responses that I have received:
  • ·      “A role model is business minded and is someone who encompasses your beliefs and goals, living the lifestyles that you are striving for. Raven Simone is business minded and does what she wants to do and stays true to her beliefs. She grew her brand into something more than acting. Also the same goes for Mary Kay and Ashley. Jay Z started off as a rapper and has a business mind as well.”
  • ·      “A role model is a person that not only talks about the lifestyle, but also walks it. For instance, Charles Barkley did not think that he was a role model but little children looked up to him.”
  • ·      “A role model is somebody that is nice with different issues but is a leader and not a follower, respectable, loyal, hardworking, and truthful. In the entertainment industry it’s more of an influence because they reach out more. Usher Raymond is someone trying to give back to his community and also Tyler Perry because of his work ethics.”
  • ·      “Bringing positive reinforcement with good ideas and creditability, and always developing something to others that is positive. Before money, someone had to believe in that person. A role model shows proof of leadership and proving to everyone around them. Drug dealers not pushing drugs but pushing hope and dreams. Positive Father figures make a good role model because there are not many out there and making the family his number one priority.”
  • ·      “A role model should be able to empower other people and respect other people. Barry Gordon because he empowered the younger generation. Actually the music industry is dominated an older Jewish Guy.”

The entertainment industry is full of glitches, most likely, neither one of these people truly have a role model but describes a role model to be all about a positive movement, and a positive talk. Living your story, being realistic, not lying to yourself makes a world of difference and I feel a great struggle enlightens possibilities to a great success.

Steps to Form a Charitable Organization

As a way to be informative about charity organizations, how to form one and what to do first, here are the steps needed to take to develop a charitable organization:
·      When forming a charitable organization you will first need to file the certificate of incorporation. A certificate of incorporation is a legal document or license relating to the formation of a corporation.
·      Secondly, you will need to select individuals to serve on the board of directors. The board of directors oversees the activities of the organization.
·      Appoint leaders that know your vision and your goal and can carry it out the way you intended.
·      Develop a vision and a mission statement. What are the goals of the company? What is its vision?
·      Establish bylaws and board policies. How will the organization be managed and how will it be run? You will then have your agenda on the organization and aid in resolving internal disputes.
·      You will need to obtain an employeridentification number (EIN). This is used to identify the entity of the business.
·      Next you will need to open a bank account to establish check-signing procedures.
·      File for federal tax exemption. You must follow state and local nonprofit regulations. Non-profit organizations exist to carry out charitable, educational or civic responsibilities and are highly regulated.
·      Also you need to find office space and obtain office equipment. This is so you have a location for your company as well as a place to work.
·      Recruit and prepare a personnel manual or an employee handbook.
·      After that, establish a payroll system and acquire necessary insurance coverage.
·      Lastly, develop an overall fundraising plan.
There are many ideas used in fundraising. Some example include selling candy, cookies, cakes, cups, plates, and also putting on car washes, and so on. There are many ideas but make sure that your idea is unique! Good luck in advance.

JANELLE MONEA

ELECTRIC LADY…WHO IS SHE AND WHAT DOES SHE STAND FOR?

In an interview at the Breakfast Club 105.1, Janelle Monea expresses the true definition of who she is and what she stands for.
Janelle Monea is one lady that should be and is looked up to for her style, poise, calamity, and positive messages ministered throughout her music. She is passionate about her fight for independence and relating to women and girls in a way that does not show uncovered layers of clothing. She describes herself as a “Walking Art with a Message,” and “Electric Lady,” including herself is not categorized in any genre. This is what separates her.
She advises others to hang out with people smarter than they are, which is smartest in the world of leadership and entertainment. As a believer of the possibilities of a future and career that this advice contains, it is wise to do just that.

As a woman with some of the same motives as me to inspire, heal, and move people through song, she makes me feel confident in being the “Electric Lady” that I am. She was mentored by some of the greatest performers of all time with unique capabilities. Motivation speaks for itself through this lady as I listen to her speak passionately about her music. She is a go-getter and an entrepreneur.

BE A SUPPORTER OF JANELLE MONEA!

This remarkable artist with every sense to make music of her own and be not remade into something she is not is AMAZING! If you have not heard of this beautiful artist inside or out than you need to see her appearance on Apollo this October 18, 2013! “LADY SELLING HOPE AND NOT DOPE!”

While the negativity in this world spreads, the hope is still being shared throughout the creativity of Janelle Monea. Why make an appearance not worth it when her appearance is because she understands life in a whole other way. Where there is a good spirit, there is a good heart.
